Poppins Shop

The Poppins Shop in the Oak Mall is an inviting, lively space with comfortable seating, attractive lighting and a welcoming staff. It’s Costa Coffee meets Apple Store, meets the Nation’s film archive.

The shop has several different zones but one theme – the past is a country to explore, enjoy and share.

Even the window has a giant projection screen showing films, images and highlighting events of the week. Enter and you are immediately reminded of the past – books, maps, and household goods. From original Dusty Springfield and Andy Stewart LPs, old maps and general memorabilia to even one of the first mobile phones – there are plenty of objects that remind you of precious moments in time.

Then enter our digital archive section – the touchscreens are easy to use and our team is on hand to give help. There are two options – large screen PC’s or our iPad “sharing tables”.

We have an event space with regular talks and even a mini vintage cinema – up to 40 people can be accommodated in this flexible space.
